Important Pre‑Enrollment Disclosures
Before you enroll, please review the following information. Depending on your program and the state where you live or intend to work, one or more of these items may affect your ability to complete the program or gain employment in the field:
- Licensure/credentialing requirements: Educational requirements vary by state and may change. PIC provides an institutional determination by state (Meets / Does Not Meet / No Educational Requirement) for each program.
- Criminal background & drug screening: Many clinical sites/employers require Level II background checks and drug screening (including federal and clinical partner restrictions on medical marijuana).
- Health, safety, and readiness: Some programs/clinical sites require current immunizations/health screening (e.g., Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TB, seasonal vaccines), AHA‑BLS/CPR, and professional liability insurance.
- Clinical placement: Sites may require specific prerequisites; travel/parking costs may apply; schedules can include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; placement is arranged by the program and may be beyond customary commuting distance (with prior consent).
- Distance education (if applicable): Minimum device/browser/bandwidth requirements; identity verification/proctoring; mandatory orientation; access to helpdesk and accessibility options.
- Technical standards/ADA: Each program lists essential functions (e.g., mobility, fine motor, communication). If you need an accommodation, contact the ADA/504 Coordinator for an interactive review.
- Other program‑specific prerequisites: English proficiency, driving record, credit check, or other conditions (as required by extern sites, licensure boards, or employers).
- Employment note: PIC does not guarantee employment. Employers may have additional or different requirements.
